Does Condensation Impact The Effectiveness of The Light
Due to the changes in the atmosphere, we observe the water droplets/vapor/moisture formed behind the lens of auxiliary lighting.
Over the years, we have been manufacturing lights used for performance. We ensure our products are never a disappointment. But that’s not all. We also make sure to create awareness for our customers.
If you have a question about condensation, we want to clear it out for you. It’s actually a natural condition, so it’s not included in the warranty.
It’s important to clarify that Halogen, HID, and LED performances don’t get affected by condensation.
How Is That Possible
Simply the transformation of gas to liquid results in the moist texture on the interior of the lens.
According to our customized lights, the sealing process occurs each time during manufacture.
So the possibility of the air containing water is a small amount captured within.
Thus when the temperature or weather changes, the trapped moisture can escape.
This particular feature is available in our customized performance light.
The condensation will dissipate based on the weather, humidity, and environmental conditions.
Certain Halogen lights don’t have a sealed design, so the airflow is natural. This natural airflow allows the condensation to evaporate. Moreover, Halogen lights are pretty hot. So it helps to fade the moist texture formed.
Yet some of our customized lights feature a breather membrane (built-in) and are sealed. It allows the air to flow through, so it dissipates condensation. It prevents water ingress (leakage into the light).
Most of our LEDs are manufactured as sealed ones, including a breather membrane. But the LEDs aren’t hot as Halogen, so they take some time to dissipate the condensation. Plus, we use plastic parts,
so moisture is released automatically when the lights get heated up. These are natural occurrences. However, there is a higher chance for condensation to dissipate with time.
Though it’s improbable for you to witness a leakage or water ingression, there are possibilities. If you happen to experience water entering the housing or light
