Hazardous Environment of Mining Shining a Light
The long status quo of lightning technology has been disturbed by New Vision manufacturing. It has become the world’s first LED light for today’s market and solutions.

The China-based LED light solution by New Vision has a different story to tell here. He says the same light/brightness can be ensured by using just 2 LED lights.
It is believed that now OEMs are also using LED lights. But is the situation was seen way back, it was only about working with Halogen lamps.
The same way is also being used for mining equipment as well. It was shared by New Vision to Jerry Wang. He is the Asia Pacific Director for the company.
Now some key OEMs are using the new LED lights. But a few years back, the same was being used for halogen lamps and mining equipment.
This was shared by Jerry Wang with Stephen. Mr. Stephen Cheung is the head of sales manager and has worked for 10 years with New Vision.
The technological aspect of LED lights has improved a lot during the past years. The improvement means:
- Better lights with fewer LED lamps
- Less power output with the help of fewer (original) halogen lamps
With new technology, New Vision has been able to capitalize on new aspects of LED lights. It is about coming up with safe and warning lights for both market and other segments.
One is able to focus on the warning signs with bright lights, images, and stripes.
The superiority of the LED lights is above the improved light. The lights are hell durable. These are not hampered by shocks or vibrations. This makes them exceptional when used during harsh weather.
This aspect is great when compared with halogen lights. Halogen lights sometimes get filament failure.
Considering the central axis, the shovel’s swing or rotation is not
symmetrical.
In case the haul of the truck gets closer to the shovel, it can break the truck back. This statement is shared by Jerry. The global site of the red LED lights have come up with a new option.
It doesn’t let the shovel hit the back of the truck by showing a “keep out” zone. It allows the driver of the haul truck to closely observe all areas.
So it remains out of the red zone and avoids hitting the truck., mainly when rotates.
The Red halo zone model F13 by NV gives in extra safety measures. The design has also red stripe light. It highlights the safety zone with the help of a red stripe light. This way unsafe area is highlighted as well.
The rest of the two models for industrial use are:
- – With having an industrial model of NV-F6.
- The LED work lights are white, anti-glare having a model of NV-U14.
The above is pretty good for the operator work, mainly at the mine site. For operating in dust and fog, the white element is bright and warm.
The operator of the mine has the liberty to choose the temperatures of different colors. It is for better visibility as well as a safety element.
The operator only has to switch between the colours without having to rewrite the system as a whole.
Jerry is of the view that their presence in the mining industry is to improve it. He emphasizes technological integration for better productivity as well as safety.
The mining industry in Australia has undergone many issues. This has even got to our notice through the media team. Mainly other mining crew in Indonesia, Chile, and South Africa has also been in the loop.
Their media team is also sharing the same issue. It happens when they have to work with less visibility and intense fog. It takes some time in addressing issues.
Mainly pertaining to the LED lights. Now in the context of the anti-glare white lights, we are the first in the market.
Australia offers a new market for these lights. This is considering the safety element within the market. The Australians welcome new technology and development.
There might be some level of resistance from the OEMs. It is always good to start with the mining operators regarding their issues.
Once the test, they are able to convince OEMs as well. Yet another issue while working with OEMs is the development cost of the vehicles.
They might need some motivation to go for this technology. Mainly those which the mine operators are interested to use.
New Vision lights are accepted in most part of the industry. However, the company has to be working in China. The focus has to be the manufacturer’s facility as well as corporate headquarters.
Within the corporate facility of the company, vertical integration of LED light occur. It is about the assembly of the PC board considering molding.
Jerry considers the concept of vertical integration really essential. This technology is though new, but very durable.
