How To Install A 30” LED Lights Bar On Polaris

The article is about the installation of both a light bar and a straight light bar. The mounting of the light is on RZR Polaris Turbo.

Here the first step is to remove the hood from the machine top and put it aside. The power source is then located in the same step. For that matter ground as well as you need the key source.

In the initial phase, you get a hole in the harnesses and remove the rocker switch. After the switch is removed from the harness, put it on one side.

Next is to get across the switch through the firewall. These switches are the two wires. You, then have to get into the machine yourself. Then getting under the dash, the grommet is located.

You have to get the wire through the grommet. Every machine in the system is said to have these grommets. With the help of any sharp thing, like a knife, cut and open it a bit.

This is applicable in case you haven’t opened the grommet as yet. Since we keep working, so our grommet is already opened. Then you get to the left side of the stud.

The next step is to remove the nut from the setting. Then the center cut is made and you can keep the nut on one side.

When it is opened, the key is put on a hot wire. You will have to take it to the left post side. This way, one can get hold of the ground wire.

Then it is placed on the centre post as well. So when the nuts are fixed, they can be tightened strong.

This way one can get inside the machine. Both the push pins are removed aside. The backside of the dash becomes visible this way.

This is in fact the model of 2019. It is also called anything under 18 and below. There are mainly two screws attached to it, One screw is there and the other is close to it.

For getting the back of the dash, you have to have both screws removed. However, with 19, you need not do this kind of setting for installation.

The next step is to get hold of the wire that we can attach to the rocker switch. It is better to keep it all around,i.e., back, side, and up to dash.

This specification is for the 2019 model. Thus, for 18 and below, the setting, is going to be double screws. The one screw is there and the other across the first one. It is always good to remove both screws.

Removal of screws is better than allowing popping up the dash back. But, again with the 19 settings, it is not essential to set this installation setting.

It is always good to get hold of all slack, for the rocket switch only. This setting is good for running the wire set. This way the plug remains intact for better settling of the light bar.

Once the slack is being pulled up, then it is ready for the rocker switch. You can take the rocket switch, take it into the harness, and then all the excess can be taken out.

With each passing time, all the wires are going to be looped together. The rocker switch is then taken and popped into the right place.

The tie in the form of zipping is tied around. This way the entire setting is taken on hold strongly.

The fixing of the rocket switch is critical. You need to trim them a bit to make this connection strong.

The trimming at the top is the first thing to do in this case. Then comes the bottom side. It is always good to go for the small trimming technique.

If you somehow go for more trimming, the fixing of the switch would not be as great. On the rocker switch is fixed, it becomes better. And you need not worry about the rocker switch now.

The hanging of the wire has to be left the same way for some time. The same setting may persist for the light bar. You then have to connect the harness of the light bar with the actual light bar.

The process of running the system comes right away. You can either run it

  • Up the cage
  • Behind the cage
  • Run it as it is

You have many options to work on. It happens with new models, that connections become tight. You literally have to take out one screw in case you want to work with them.

It could also be taking out a lifting dash up, take it aside. The connection is then made under the dash set.

The same model can work well for the new models as well.

At the moment, it can go for the 19th model. Later on, it can also work for the 18th model and for the RZR Turbo system. In this capacity, it includes RZR 900 & 1000.

The next step is to mount the light bar and get it ahead. Better get clamps up also. Then the entire hardware is to be removed from the clamps.

With brackets, take the forms aside. The setting is then put inside the clamp set. Then while working, it can easily be torn away.

On the curve side of the clamp, get it against the cage. Then just get hold of it and tear it apart.

The cut part of the clamp has to face the backside of the machine when fixing. This cut is actually where the entire system is going to be fixed. The fixing has to be within the cage.

Now get hold of the other clamp, and try fixing it the same manner. Prepare and work on it the same way. Put it aside, tear it apart and then fix it the same way. The back of the machine is where the nut is fixed.

The placement of the flats have also to be considered when fixing screws. You get hold of pliers. Hold both clamps.

Then bend it a bit so to get the actual shape at once. When you put them on the cage, it expands out.

The bracket will be able to get inside the setting. You have to put it inside the setting. Get hold of the screws right there.

Then put the screw inside, mainly it’s head in the flat position. The nut is taken inside the side, mainly the curved side.

Take the bracket and put them in their right places. Take the right side of the screw. It is good to keep the screws on the flat side of the screw so it gets inside.

The placement of the nut has to be tricky. It must be towards the curved side of the screw. The Allen wrench is then taken care of, This wrench is already available in the tool kit.

Take the nut and put it in the right place. Mainly over the groove and right on the bracket place.

When the nut has reached the right place, and everything settled. You can now rotate the placement of the screw.

It is better not to fix it right away. You can carry with the same setting for the other bracket setting as well.

In the next direction, the clamps are moved away so the threads go away from the machine. Get the bracket.

Better be the Allen screws from the main kit. It is better to check the bracket. Then tighten the screws until the bars are in the right place. The same procedure is to be repeated for the other side as well.

Both bolts and lock washers are then taken into hand. You can put the light bar in the right place. You are able to get all this done yourself.

However, you can also avail someone’s else help as well. This way you can keep working on the machine while someone keeps the bolts held up in your hands.

In the same manner, you can keep working on the other side of the bolt as well.

Once we are done with the adjustment of the bolts. The rest of the arrangement can also be made accordingly. Make a proper angle of it in the first place. You tend to keep the mount up a bit as you go along.

It is good to keep the fitting with the bracket first. The adjustment of the light bar shall be straight then.

You have to do the same for the other side. The harness may then be taken out in the same manner for the other side also.

In case it is tightened, go through the Allen wrench and tighten the brackets. The clamps must be loose when you plan to do this.

In fact, it is the centre of the clamp where the adjustment needs to be made. Tighten the clamps to the point where nuts can move and rotate a bit.

This is the point where you intend to quit. In case otherwise, the tight connection can cut them apart and tear them away.

You have to do the same step for the other side as well.

The light bar is all positioned and functional. You need to see how it looks and how it is functioning. It should be straight and sitting tight.
It’s time to make the right wiring connection.

You can pop up the dash a bit and then make sure the plug gets underneath while you run it. You can learn the process of lifting the dash up and running the plug underneath.

You have to keep the dash to the lifting position. This lifting should be sufficient so the plug could be run beneath it.

Get the harness and threw it under the dash. You can go up and tend to bend it aside so as to run it beneath the dash.

You will come across the wire with which you plan to make the connection. It has to be fed on the top as the case may be. The connection is made. You can then take the wire back into the machine.

You have a chance to go back and reinstall the screw. Since the wire is in there, so it is better not to tighten the screw the hard way. Make sure it is tight to the appropriate level.

Now get under the dash and make the wire arrangement appropriate. You can also check the wire access this way.

Get hold of it, place it together and make a tie like a zip. You can also run it aside, around the panel of the fuse.

Take yet another zip. get it over the frame, then cut the tip zip. Take the wire to the light bar then. Tie it to the cage then.

This way the entire wire system is tied up till it is sorted out. Similarly, the access wire is also well settled.

When you turn around, you can see that the wire has been settled and well taken care of. It looks good. When we go ahead, we can once again reinstall the centre point. mainly the storage area.

We can even push the pins as well. PO back and then start again. Get hold of the hood and reinstall it. You can then get inside the machine and get keys on essential mode.

Check the light bar by turning it on. If it works well, then good. Once again check the wiring to ensure everything is good.
