How to Upgrade LED Strobe Lights on Agricultural Vehicles
For the agriculture industry, all vehicles are equipped with proper lights. These vehicles are tractors, loaders, and balers which have proper lights attached.
The lights are either roof-mounted or surface mounted. In both cases, the lights are attached to the grill or the body of the vehicle.
The strobe lights are good for catching any upcoming hazards. Also, help in getting the right attention on the road.
The lighting world has been moving from traditional to LED lights. One can find warnings as well as so-called hazardous lights in electrical mode.
These are both low consumption as well as durable lights. And considered better than old halogen and other gas discharge ones.
The price of these LED lights also makes them a better choice for many managers. Even vehicles prefer these class 1 option lights to class 2 lights. Both come with less differential at price.
Today both hazardous and warning lights are moving to LED lights. New Vision industries are known in this domain. We have been working toward the production of LED lights for different vehicles. We are in this business of lights for over 10 years now.
The movement or migration is owing to three factors
- Durability and long life
- rightness
- Energy efficiency
The energy consumption by LED lights is relatively low as compared to other options. These run with low voltage, thus allowing for fast working. This way, little to no current is leaked from the battery.
On the other hand, less current is taken out from the halogen lights. Halogen light, in contrast, drains a lot of currents.
It leads to drainage of the battery of the vehicle. Which means less life of the battery and early replacement.
The overall efficiency of the halogen lights is reduced by 95%. They lose most of their energy in heating.
LED lights consume just 25 to 35 percent of the total power of the battery.
The life of the LED lights is at least 10 times longer than other options. They can live up to 70,000 hours or more.
Since LED lights have been accepted widely all across the globe. The overall efficiency of these lights is also being improved.
In the initial days, these lights were not been able to meet the requirements. Especially when measured in candelas, it shows less efficiency.
With technological advancement, LED lights are now brighter. These give good brightness than normal halogen and other options.
The Price Option
In the start, the price was the main hurdle in adopting LED lights.
However, the same has been changed or revised in the past. The overall price of the transition was way high for people to accept.
But now, with low prices, people have started to opt for this light. There have been at least a 10% reduction in the overall pricing.
It is also been said that the model shall become normal to use. Many manufacturers are coming up with the new model using old techniques.
New Vision has come with new technologies for LED lights. Some companies are producing Strobe lights. So the price hike is normal for such technology.
NV has many options available in this regard. The company has also some beacon lights in the form of:
- Permanent, 1 to 3 class
- Vaccum
- Magnetically mounted lights
In both strobe patterns, in both high and regular profiles. Some LED offerings by companies come in the range of 0.4 to 0.35 amp with 12 VDC.
The strobe is also available in directional with surface mount. It comes in 3′, 6′ as well as 12′ with diode options. The flash patterns are also available in 12 different series.
These also include the “steady-on” option. There are some traffic directors available with 40 and 30 inches LED lights.
This Option Is Filled With
- Five phase
- 34 warning, plus flash pattern
These Can Be Mounted On
- Pickup trucks
- Push bumpers in front
- Running board lights
- Headache racks
One has to be careful when upgrading strobe to LED lights. This is even true when you plan for imported products that are cheap.
If cheaper in the start, it could lead to an issue later on This is worse if any warranty issue comes up.
