LED Whip Lights Not Working: Troubleshooting and Solutions
If your UTV ATV LED whip lights are not working, here are some common issues and solutions:
Common Problems and Fixes
1. Loose Connections:
- Solution: Check if the base of the whip light is loose. Gently tighten it if necessary. Reconnect the whip light and test if the issue persists
2. Single Whip Light Not Functioning:
- Solution: Swap the base of the problematic whip light with a working one. If it works, the base might be faulty. Contact the manufacturer for a replacement
3. Both Whip Lights Not Functioning:
- Solution: Check if the parameters in the app have been accidentally modified. Go to settings, set the pixel points to 93, and save. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
4. Power Supply Issues:
- Solution: If the whip lights are getting power but not staying on, check for inline fuses or issues with the control box. Ensure all connections are secure and not corroded.
5. Physical Damage to the Lights:
- Solution: Inspect the whip lights for physical damage, especially after off-road use. Repair or replace damaged sections
6. Moisture or Water Damage:
- Solution: If moisture has entered the lights, causing them to short out, consider sealing the affected areas or replacing the damaged section
7. Remote Control or App Connectivity Problems:
- Solution: Ensure the remote or app is properly connected to the whip lights. If connected but not functioning, check for software updates or contact the manufacturer
Preventive Maintenance Tips
- Regularly clean the whip lights with mild soap and water.
