Perimeter Warning Lights for Site Safety Improvement: Alert Lights
Blue/Red Line Alerts improve lift truck visibility by providing early warning with bright red and/or blue spots. This enhances safety for pedestrians.
It also provides safety for other vehicles on the site, as the spots can be easily seen before the forklift truck or vehicle is in motion.
In environments with high levels of noise, ear defenders may make it difficult to hear the audible alerts from forklift trucks. This can compromise safety for forklift operators and pedestrians as they may not be aware of the truck’s presence.
How Lights Work
The forklift truck (or other materials handling vehicles) can have Red LED perimeter lights mounted in any location, using 2 or 3 lights. These forklift proximity lights provide bright illumination with minimal power consumption, allowing multiple units to be connected at once.
In addition, the light can be connected to a Proximity Warning System (PWS). This will automatically activate when a pedestrian or vehicle is approaching.

Arc Boundary Line Light
Red/Blue halo zone forklift safety LED lights series is used to provide a visual warning on mobile equipment for pedestrians.
A red or blue boundary arc is projected by this LED device around the vehicle to provide 180° of coverage.
Additionally, this safety feature can be useful in confined spaces and operating near blind corners (e.g., warehouse racking).
A polycarbonate lens and a stainless-steel mounting bracket make it resilient to impacts and vibrations.

Pedestrian Boundary Line
It is designed for material handling applications. It provides pedestrians within a certain distance of mobile equipment with a visual warning.
Red/Blue boundary lines are projected on the ground on each side of the vehicle to supplement a 360 Degree warning light.
This extra safety feature is especially useful in warehouse racking, where there are blind corners. Where pedestrians tend not to look up or pay close attention to their surroundings.
It operates on 12-80 VDC, is resistant to impact and vibration damage. Thanks to its aluminum housing and polycarbonate lens.

A blue arrow is projected from the light. It allows forklift trucks to travel in a clear direction even when visibility is poor.
The Red Light

The red / blue safety LED warning lights of the crane is a useful light that warns nearby pedestrians. They will be aware of any hazardous crane action.

The purpose of the Red Zone Danger Area Warning Light is to ensure the safety of pedestrians. This works by keeping them at a safe distance away from the area where forklifts are in operation. It is also known as the Red Zone or HALO zone to prevent accidents.
The Red Zone Danger Area Warning Light creates a clearly visible red line on the floor to mark the zone where pedestrians should stay clear.
This zone, also known as the HALO zone, can be set to a customized safe distance to minimize the risk of injuries.
By clearly identifying the “no-go” area around the equipment, this warning light helps to reduce workplace accidents and promote safety.
The Red Zone Danger Area Warning Lights are available for purchase through Forklift Training Systems in both Canada and the United States.
They can also be found through dealers of forklifts. Also, there are companies that specialize in safety and industrial supplies. The product is offered to resellers and end customers.
The Red Zone side lights are primarily intended for indoor use and can be used on various types of forklifts, such as:
- Sit-downs
- Stand-ups
- Tuggers
They are weatherproof, but visibility may be limited in extremely bright outdoor conditions. These lights are suitable for use with any fuel option.
Note: It is important to note that before using the Red Zone lights on a forklift that is man-up, test them on one lift first. This will ensure that they will function effectively at the desired height.
Currently, the Red Zone lights are not UL certified. As a result, they cannot be used in higher hazard areas, including:
- Ex locations
- EE or ES forklifts
- LPS
Note: It is important to note that the process of obtaining UL certification for the Red Zone lights is ongoing. It will be achieved in the near future. However, it should be kept in mind that for extremely high-hazard areas such as EX trucks, these lights may not be UL certified.
So they are not recommended for use in such areas.

We recommend our Crane lights as an option for outdoor equipment or huge forklifts. You can use our lights on the mobile equipment of your choice. They provide highly visible bright red and blue lines or a spotlight, just like Red Zone lights.
- The Crane lights are equipped with a special lens (added to the cost) that enables them to offer either a line or a spot.
- These are 10 times brighter than Red Zone lights
- Used outdoors and indoors.
- Ideally used on large equipment.
You can find the tool-free bracket in the package. Installation does not require drilling and can be completed using zip ties (heavy-duty ones). The lights can then be adjusted to the desired angle using the swiveling mounting bracket.

After the lights are mounted, it is important to contact a qualified maintenance or forklift technician. It is a must to wire the lights perfectly into the power supply of the forklift.
The Red Zone lights should work when the forklift is in use or powered on, so the professional you contact will make sure to do it.
Note: Regenerative brakes in electric forklifts are different. So the lights should be connected to a circuit that will not subject them to high power surges. If it doesn’t, there could be damage to the lights. The warranty won’t work either.
