The light comes with a Breather vent.

Its core function is to equalize the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the lamp, while blocking moisture and dust from entering. This protects the lamp’s integrity, prevents condensation, and significantly extends its service life.

What Problem Does It Solve?

Pressure Changes from Thermal Cycling:

When the LED lamp heats up during operation, the air inside expands, creating positive pressure. When the lamp is turned off, it cools down, and the air contracts, creating a vacuum (negative pressure). This constant cycle of pressure change puts stress on the seals, weakening them over time.

Moisture Ingress & Condensation:

The vacuum effect actively tries to suck in air from the outside through the weakest point in the seal. If the outside air is humid, this moisture is drawn into the lamp housing.

When there’s a temperature difference, this moisture condenses on the inside of the lens, causing fogging that reduces light output and can lead to the corrosion of sensitive electronics.
