With more vehicles in the domain of the workplace, the safety of pedestrians is essential. It could be ports or warehouses where the use of vehicles is increasing.

Thus for any situation, one needs to ensure pedestrians’ safety. You have many options to choose from as far as the choice of lights is concerned.

The solutions of choice what you look for

Either you want to give in advance warning of the vehicle approaching
Or You want pedestrians to stay away from the site of the vehicle

Red/Blue Line LED warning lights

Red line LED warning lights are the warning for pedestrians. These are means to make pedestrians aware of the warning signs ahead.

These could be mounted at a height of 2m. Because with this distance, these can be seen by pedestrians as long as 3m away.

The Red Line lens is pretty visible and thus acts as a good warning sign.

Red/Blue Point LED warning lights

The visual aspect of the LED warning light is finalized with a blue point. This light works in the noisy environment, whereby pedestrians find it hard to hear the noise.

The light,thus forms a pattern either before a behind the machine. The square pattern alerts the pedestrians about the approaching vehicle, thus reducing accidents.

The light can also work as a standard light. Sometimes it can match the design of your machine light as well.

There are some things you need to consider when the blue light is operating. You should never look at the source of light because it can be hazardous to your eyes.

Normally the blue point lens is clear and the light comes directly from the LED.

Yet another type of Blue light, comes with a sublime appearance. Normally forklift trucks have this light and come with little protrusion as well. It also forms a pattern on the floor before the vehicle to alert pedestrians.

Again this light gives out strong radiations. Thus, it is recommended not to look at the light directly to avoid any damage to eyes.

Mounting Guideline

You need to be aware of the fact that warning lights are properly installed. The placement or mounting position should be such that it doesn’t disrupt the operator.

Also, it should not get directly into the eyes of the person who is working around the machine.

Note: It is only through expert technicians that installation needs to be carried out.

The preferred pattern is to mount the warning light at least at a distance of 2 meters from the floor. As far as the angle of the light is concerned

For Blue/Red Points version, it should be around 4 to 5 meters from the machine itself.
For Red/Blue Line version, the distance should be according to the model of the machine.

Thus, the entire responsibility lies on the operator for ensuring the right placement of the light on the floor.
