Tractor LED Work Lights: What You Need to Know

Farmers and agricultural workers are familiar with LED tractor lights and these lights are gaining steady popularity among them. The reasons for these lights to capture the segment are their affordable price and exceptional performance in the fields.

Visibility hindrances on the fields can become a challenge for the farmers, so they are opting for add-on LEDs that help them maintain night vision.

These lights can directly help the field workers improve safety and performance during their work. Besides these factors, tractor LEDs have several more advantages. Let’s see what they are:

LED Tractor Lights What You Need to Know

Advantages of Using LED Tractor Lights

If you want to glide through your day as a farmer, our LED tractor lights are your best bet. They are the most sturdy lights in the range with IP ratings equal to IP65.

What does that mean? It means that the tractor LED lights will work under any weather condition such as fog, rain storm or snow and they will not get damaged.

These LEDs have a definite advantage over halogen lights and HID bulbs as they are much more time and energy-efficient (Yes! They last up to 50,000 hours of uninterrupted illumination).

With these tractor LEDs, you don’t need to worry about damage caused by agitation to the lights. Agitation to the vehicle is unavoidable in the fields since the ground is not leveled. But these lights are made to withstand the pressure of tough terrains.

Moreover, these LEDs are available in a wide variety of color temperatures. The best part is their ability to act just like natural daylight. This ability leads to unstrained eyes even when the farmers are working at night, hence ensuring increased productivity.

Flood Beams Lights

As the name suggests, flood beam lights throw a flood of light that covers the front area like a light blanket. The excellent reach makes everything much more visible surrounding your vehicle and night shifts don’t bother you anymore.

With flood beams, you will see everything occurring close to your tractor. They are like a warm, dazzling embrace of light that keeps you safe in the dark.

Spot Beam Light

Spot beams are like a spotlight extending far in front of a tractor. They are exceptional for detecting objects at length, such as animals or road hazards.

When on a dangerous terrain, you can always see what is coming next with these lights. With these lights on, you can see what’s down the road even when traveling at night. They cut through the darkness just like a knife cuts through melted butter!

Combo Beams Lights

Combo beams give you the option of having a two-in-one vision. They use flood beams to increase visibility near the tractor and also work like spot beams that illuminate the path in front of the tractor.

This enables a complete vision of what is beside you and what’s in front of you. , these lights prevent your vehicle from accidents.

LED Strobe Lights

LED strobe lights also have the same function of increased vision. These LED strobe lights are the best for agricultural and construction vehicles.

As a past trend, halogen bulbs were a popular choice, now replaced with these modern LED beacons.

LEDs have a longer life and a great range even when they are using much less energy. Another benefit is that when the tractor isn’t in its operational state, these lights do not burden the battery of the vehicle.

Surface Mount LED Strobes Light

There are two types of LED strobe lights on utility vehicles: grill-mounted or surface-mounted. Both types are add-ons to the look and the visibility capacity of vehicles such as tractors and trucks.

Moreover, these lights do not need control from the outside even though they are mounted additionally. They are controlled from within the vehicle.

Lighting Rules for Tractors

There are rules for tractors and other utility vehicle lightings if they travel on a speed less than 25 miles per hour. All such vehicles must have headlamps, taillamps, warning lamps, and turn signals. Here’s how all these lights work:

LED Headlamps

These headlights need to be mounted in the front of the vehicle and they must maintain the same height from the ground. As a rule, they cannot be installed in the middle of the grill.

Instead, they must be placed away from the middle of the vehicle. The headlights should aim at the ground to aid greater visibility.

LED Tail Lights

An LED tail light must have a height of 16 inches to 10 feet from the ground. The color of these lights must be red and they must be two in number.

Another rule is to have them operational at all times. This ensures safe driving no matter what part of the day you choose to work.

LED Warning Lights

Just like the headlights and the taillights, there must be a set of two amber LED warning lights on your tractor.

Mounting style also remains constant with equal spacing and visibility from the front of the tractor.

They must emit light at a predetermined rate and they should always light up at the same time.

Turn Indicators Light

Tractors must be equipped with both red tail lights and turn signals. While taking a turn, the indicator LED and the warning amber light should flash at the same time.

At a turn, the indicator light should flash 20 times more per minute till 125 times faster per minute. At the same time, the warning light must not blink but only light continuously.
