Why Should You Buy Flush Mount LED Pods For Your Vehicle
For various reasons, LED light pods are one of our most popular light options.
Their aluminum housing not only contains a lot of power, but they’re also extremely durable and can be easily mounted in multiple places on almost any vehicle.
Although this is true, there may be times when this isn’t the case with your mounting application.
Your front bumper needs some driving lights– but your vehicle doesn’t have factory fog lights. Your taillights are bad, and you don’t have the space on the back of your vehicle to mount them.
We Introduce The Flush Mount POD
A flush mount bracket is used on this LED work light, which means the housing can be installed behind the mounting surface so that the front lens is flush with the mounting surface.
It can be mounted on any flat surface 5″ wide by 4″ high by 3.5″ deep.
POD’s Flush Mount design allows you to add a significant amount of white light to your truck, ATV, or UTV while maintaining a stock look that many aftermarket modification enthusiasts highly prefer.
How Does It Work
Generally, it is a type of light that can be mounted on the front or rear. They are typically found on stock and aftermarket bumpers.
So which optic is best for each application? You should answer this based on what you are using the extra light for and the speed you are traveling when you need it. Consider a few examples.
Example 1
There are already cutouts in your truck’s bumper for our Flush Mount PODs, which you bought as an aftermarket bumper.
You drive this vehicle as your daily driver and commute along back roads where there are many deer to watch out for.
Your typical speed is 35-40 mph. For this application, you will want our flood beam that throws light over 500m to 14 lux with a 40-60 degree beam pattern.
This way, you’ll be able to scan ahead and see deer far enough away to slow down while still seeing off into the shoulder or ditches.
Example 2
There isn’t a factory fog light on your off-road vehicle. Although your headlights are fine on main roads, you continuously creep through trails at less than ten mph.
There are times when you need to get out of your vehicle to make sure it is safe to proceed, and when you find a place to set up camp, you need area lighting. Our diffused beams are ideal for that.
The light scatters at a 120-degree angle with a diffused lens, so there is no hot spot, and maximum light spreads for about 150 feet.
Diffused auxiliary reverse lights are usually best for reversing because you aren’t going more than five mph while reversing.
Made To Last
Die-cast aluminum and IP67 waterproof housing protect the flush mount LED lights from the elements without sacrificing durability.
Approximately three-inch-high grooved fins maximize the cooling surface area that is relatively heavy & dense. The flush pod lights are expected to last for more than 50,000 hours.
Daytime-Like Brightness
Our PODs all feature oversized heat sinks, which allow us to pack four Cree LEDs in each unit rated at 10 watts each! For this reason, all of our LED light bars and PODs provide such high lumen outputs. We received the following recent reviews regarding our PODs:
Reviews
The quality of these lights is excellent. I am amazed at how bright they are. I was able to choose the right combination of lights for my application thanks to the sales team.”
Dave James: Peterbilt 379 EXHD
“The first impression I had was “Wow.” I have a 55 watt HID on both low and high beams. These lights outperform my headlights.
